People Get Tattoos to Access Diablo 4 Beta
Blizzard has organized an interesting campaign to advertise the beta of Diablo 4. Players can get a tattoo for free and gain access to the upcoming tests.
Blizzard has taken a rather interesting step on the subject of advertising Diablo 4. Here's the thing, fans of the series can take part in a tour called Diablo Hell's Ink, during which they can get a game-related tattoo for free and in return get access to the beta of Diablo 4.
Diablo Hell's Ink
The tour kicked off in June, with the first stop being Los Angeles. Now, the official Twitter of Diablo posted an announcement regarding Chicago, although the tour also goes outside the US.
You'll also catch Diablo Hell's Ink in Berlin, Germany on August 18, and in the UK, where you can take advantage of the opportunity in London on August 13.. The tour will come to an end on September 10, when fans in Australia will have the last chance to get a Diablo tattoo.
Each stop lasts one day, and customers are served on a first-come, first-served basis. Of course, to snag a free tattoo and a beta of Diablo 4, one must be of legal age. Those who have already managed to take advantage of the "promotion", in addition to the gifted tattoo, also received a thank you card for their "sacrifice in flesh".
Gamers also did not miss the use of the word "upcoming" concerning the beta, as even those who did not get a tattoo are excited about the vision of the beta launch in the near future.
Good PR or a step too far?
A significant part of the Diablo community has reacted very positively to this kind of advertising. Free tattoo and on top of that access to the beta of D4 is an ideal opportunity, particularly for those who have been planning to do a similar project for some time.
"100% I would get a tattoo if I were in the area. Not only do you get access to the beta, but you also get a cool tattoo. I bet it would be an amazing experience!," wrote bradley brewster.
While such a promotion actually appeals to some players, especially those who live near the tour stops, as usual, there was also no shortage of negative opinions. According to them, Blizzard has gone too far in encouraging players to immortalize Diabloon their own body.
"You must have the Blizzard logo burned on your forehead to get early access and an exclusive DLC item. For a limited time only!," wrote OhManTFE.
Whether Blizzard goes too far or not, must be decided by each on their own. After all, no one is forcing skeptics to tattoo the "Blizzard logo on their foreheads." Enthusiasts, on the other hand, have the opportunity to get an interesting souvenir for life. If you are curious about the designs that were available as part of the walk-in, examples from LA are provided below.
