Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous With New DLCs; Content Revealed

The popular RPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will receive a second season of DLCs. Among them will be an expansion with a new story campaign.

We have good news for fans of the RPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Owlcat Games, the studio responsible for the game has announced, that it will receive a second season of expansions, which will include three new DLCs.

For now, the titles of these expansions have not been revealed - they are only described as DLC numbers 4, 5 and 6 (three expansions were previously released).

  1. DLC #4 - will offer a new companion and an additional playable class (shapeshifter).
  2. DLC #5 - will be the biggest expansion of the second season. It will offer a new story campaign, set after the events of Through the Ashes. Interestingly, it will not feature the game's main character. Instead, the story will tell the story of companions who will have to face a demonic lord in the protagonist's absence. The main plot will provide about 6-7 hours of fun, and after completing it we will unlock a new dungeon in the main game.
  3. DLC #6 - will enable us to return to the city of Kenabres. It was burned down in earlier adventures, but in the DLC we will find it rebuilt. Players will participate in a festival organized in honor of our hero.
  4. All these DLCs will be available for purchase separately or as part of the season pass.

It is worth mentioning that some time ago the developers organized a survey, asking fans about their dream DLC. More than 30,000 people participated, and their answers largely shaped the content of the second season

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous debuted in September 2021 on PC. Last month saw the release of ports for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch consoles as part of the so-called Enhanced Edition, offering numerous improvements and new features, which at the same time were also made available for free to PC players.

For the time being, the second season has been announced only for PC, but in the future these DLCs will most likely come to other hardware platforms as well.

The most interesting mods for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is being developed not only by the creators. The game also has a small but active modding community. Some of the most interesting projects include:

  1. WorldCrawl - completely changes the balance of most game elements, creating consistent challenges from start to finish even for optimized parties. It also adds a complete procedural loot and encounter system, as well as new spells, classes and skills.
  2. Tabletop Tweaks - thoroughly reworks the game's mechanics, stats and gameplay balance to bring it as close as possible to the principles of the tabletop Pathfinder RPG.
  3. ToyBox - adds a menu to the game, allowing for activation of several hundred different effects. Many of them are classic cheats, while others are simply fun changes or solutions resulting in chaotic changes or difficulty boosts. A team editing option is also available.
