Parody of Eminem's Song Mocks PS5 Shortages

A parody of a song by the famous rapper Eminem appeared online. The spot refers to Christmas and ridicules problems with the availability of PlayStation 5 consoles.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. A spot that aired on Saturday Night Live parodies Eminem's well-known song Stan and ridicules the problems with PS5's availability;
  2. The video even includes the rapper himself and a reference to a joint performance with Elton John.

You dream of a PlayStation 5, but have trouble getting one? Well, get in line, because there's a lot of us. Saturday Night Live aired a sketch depicting the adventures of a man named Stu, who even went as far as... threatening Santa Claus to get the console. Did the plan work? See for yourselves - the video lasts about four minutes and it's really worth watching (untill the very end).

The above video is a parody of Eminem's in 2000 song Stan, featuring the famous singer Dido. Santa Claus was played by Jason Bateman and Stu by Pete Davidson. The video even refers to a special version of this song, in which - due to the controversy over the lyrics - Dido's vocal line was replaced by another one, performed by Elton John.

It is worth noting that Eminem's presence in the video is not accidental. The rapper definitely doesn't hate the PlayStation brand, as one of the photos published on Reddit proves.
