Looking for Unstable Energy and Corrupt Energy to get the best upgrades in Pacific Drive? Here’s everything you need to know.
Pacific Drive is a first-person driving survival game where you explore a twisted and surreal version of the Pacific Northwest, trapped within Olympic Exclusion Zone. With your trusty car as a companion, you’ll scavenge for resources, upgrade the vehicle, and face strange dangers as you are looking for a way to escape. To access higher tier recipes and workshop gear in Pacific Drive, you’ll need to harness a special form of material. Find out how to get Corrupted and Unstable Energy in this guide.
Pacific Drive – Unstable Energy
While the below method is the most certain way of obtaining Unstable Energy, it is possible to gather it earlier. You can find it even in Outer-Zone, before the quest, at the junctions in the vicinity of Mid-Zone Crossing.
Unstable Energy in Pacific Drive becomes available as you progress through the story and reach the mid-zone. Here’s how to obtain it:
- Complete missions: The Remnant Experiment, Explore the Zone, and Stabilizing a Way Through.
- Wait for The Mid-Zone Crossing to start, it will unlock the new area. While searching through it, look for unstable energy displayed as yellow circles on your car’s map. Unstable energy will emit a red glow.
- As in the case of Stable Energy, grabbing the anchor triggers immediate instabilities and activates nearby anomalies. Act fast, collect it, return to your car, and interact with the ARC device to utilize it.
Pacific Drive – Corrupt Energy
Corrupt Energy in Pacific Drive will be available late in the game. Here’s how to get it:
- Complete missions: A Little Favor, The Visions, and Red Meadow Research Facility.
- The Deep Zone Crossing will mark the gateway to the endgame area. As in the previous cases, look for yellow circles on your map. The Anchor will glow with a pink color.
- Pick up the anchor and quickly get back to your car. As always, extract corrupt energy by interacting with the ARC device.
