The company describes the new client as "the fastest and lightest" among those it has created so far. The look of the program has been significantly redesigned to make it more modern and user-friendly. Support for other platforms has been introduced, so that it will be possible to link an EA account with, for example, Steam or Xbox and PlayStation consoles to keep in touch with friends using them.

Currently, the EA app is not available on macOS systems, so Origin will continue to be used by users of Apple devices until a version for non-Windows PCs is ready.

You can download the new app here, without waiting for an invitation from EA.
