Strategy Game Old World Gets New Civilization and Six Scenarios
Pharaohs of the Nile DLC for Old World Strategy has been announced. As the title suggests, the DLC will focus on ancient Egypt.
The beginning of October promises to be a real feast for gamers fascinated with ancient Egypt. In addition to Total War: Pharaoh, they will get an expansion for the strategy game Old World with the same theme.
- Mohawk Games has announced the Pharaohs of the Nile DLC.
- It will be a non-standalone expansion, so you will need the full version of Old World to play.
- Pharaohs of the Nile will debut on October 4, this year.
In Pharaohs of the Nile players will take control of Egypt over 400 years of its turbulent history. Players will get a choice of six historical scenarios based on the events of the New Kingdom.
In the DLC, we will discover the beginnings of monotheism in the Amarna period, face the Hittites in the great battle of Kadesh, or attempt to regain balance in the Kingdom under the leadership of Pharaoh Merneptah.
Pharaohs of the Nile will also introduce a new playable civilization - the Kingdom of Kush. It will offer multiple dynasties to choose from, unique Kush pyramids to erect and two powerful ranged units.
Old World is available exclusively on PC. The game was released in early access in May 2020, and version 1.0 debuted in July 2021.
