Nvidia Teases Ampere Cards and Announces Presentation

Nvidia has announced that in May it will be broadcasting a presentation prepared on the occasion of GTC 2020. There are many indications that the first cards based on Ampere architecture will be revealed then.

The presentation will be available on the company's YouTube channel.

For a few months now, we have been served leaks about the new Nvidia GPU based on the Ampere architecture. It appears we have just found out when the first products based on this technology may finally be announced.

Nvidia announced that on May 14, this year, it will be broadcasting a presentation with President Jensen Huang's speech for GTC 2020 (GPU Technology Conference 2020). The presentation will focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics and graphics. The press release does not explicitly mention graphic cards, but uses the phrase "Get Amped". The second of these words was written with a capital letter for some reason and most probably this way the company teases the reveal of products based on the Ampere architecture.

It should be noted that if Nvidia really does announce new products on May 14, it is likely to be just professional cards, from the Tesla or Quadro families. However, such models will tell us a lot about what we can expect from the variants for gamers.
