No Man's Sky Endurance Update - Revitalize and Beautify Your Mothership

No Man's Sky received the Endurance update today. As the name suggests, it focuses on the modifications for the mothership to revitalize it a bit and make it much more beautiful.

Sentinel, Outlaws, Leviathan, and now Endurance - today studio Hello Games released this year's fourth update for No Man's Sky. In total, this is the twentieth patch introducing new content to the game. What's new this time? First of all - the option for comprehensive expansion of the mothership.

The mothership in its full glory

From now on, each ship can be customized to resemble a real space base. On board we will create scanning rooms, cultivation chambers, stores, planters, refiners or extractors, among others.

We will deploy and modify all these elements according to our needs, giving them a unique style. In addition, the base can now be expanded beyond the ship's hull, and building observation decks and glass platforms will provide a direct view of the boundlessness of space.

Below you can watch a trailer demonstrating the expansion of the mothership in No Man's Sky.

Bigger crew and specialists

Quite a treat for fans of No Man's Sky should also be the ability to increase the number of crew members of the ship so that it doesn't seem empty. What's more, there will be specialists - engineers, biologists and technicians - roosting on board and expressing their opinions.

So that it won't be crowded, it is also now possible to implement a a network of teleportation nodes, which can be set up in any part of the ship. They will significantly facilitate movement around the ship even for the largest crew.

New expedition and other changes

The full list of changes introduced to No Man's Sky is available here. Particularly interesting ones seem to be:

  • The previously unavailable Polestar expedition;
  • New visual effects accompanying travel through black holes;
  • Holograms of created structures visible through the walls to help manage space;
  • Refreshed freighter textures;
  • Organic frigates that the player can encounter during space exploration.

No Man's Sky: Endurance is available on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne and XSX/S. It should arrive on Switch along with the game's release on Nintendo's console, which is scheduled for October 7, 2022. It's also worth mentioning that you can check out the game as part of the PC/Xbox Game Pass service.
