There is a new expedition available in NMS featuring some fresh milestones. If you have problems with completing Corrosive Blood challenge, we might have some tips for you.
Hello Games continues to deliver new content to their already 7 years old production. Voyagers is an 11th expedition, added to No Man’s Sky recently, just after whole new Echoes update. The expansion was already brimming with new things to explore and items to get, but the expedition features new challenges or milestones, as they are called in game. You might have found yourself trying to complete “Corrosive Blood” milestone, though it is nearly impossible to complete it. If you need a hand, we may have something that can be of use for you.
Corrosive Blood Milestone in NMS
The Corrosive Blood Milestone in NMS is not hard to complete in its core, as it only requires scanning a creature that’s blood under 2.5 pH. This requires finding a poisonous planet with high Tox indication. There, the only thing to do is to scan critters in order to find one with low pH.
There are many potential locations of proper planets on the internet. For example here. As you can see, No Man’s Sky community is very helpful.
Completing the challenge will award you with Supreme Defensive Systems Upgrade and Pre-Packaged Haz-Mat Gauntlet Unit.
Corrosive Blood Bug in No Man’s Sky
Unfortunately, many players have reported problems with this milestone. It often happens that if you find a creature with pH higher than 2.5, it will not record any lower readings. For some reason, the game continues counting up instead of down, when it comes to acidity of creature’s blood.
There is an unofficial way to deal with this by editing game files, but it would be safer to just wait for an official patch since it’s most clearly a bug.
Modifying game files is not recommended solution for this problem, though some players have reported that after doing so the milestone was completed. Changing the files can result in breaking the game or in extreme cases rendering your save files unusable. We take no liability for any problems resulting from this.
