Electronic Arts and Criterion Games have unveiled more footage from Need for Speed Unbound. This time we got a short trailer showing the new gameplay mode - Takeover Events. Lasting just over a minute, you can watch the video below.

Takeover Events are based on executing impressive maneuvers. Among other things, during the competition you will have to destroy barrels. There will also be acrobatics in the air. The scoring rules will resemble those of drift competitions, known from previous installments of the series. For each action we will receive points - we will win if we collect more of them than our competitors. Of course, appropriate combinations of tricks will be additionally rewarded.

However, when it comes to other modes available in Need for Speed Unbound, then in addition to the standard races we will certainly get Time Trials, consisting of completing routes in a certain time. Parallel races (so-called drag races), on the other hand, will not appear.

Need for Speed Unbound will debut on December 2, this year and three days earlier it will become available to those who preordered it or subscribe to EA Play (in the case of the cheaper, basic variant of this service we are talking about a 10-hour trial version). The title is headed for PC (Steam, Origin and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
