New World Finally With Character Transfer Option

No more creating new characters to avoid queues in New World. From now on players can move characters between servers.

New World has undoubtedly been quite successful (much more so than Amazon's previous projects, anyway), but the game's launch hasn't been without problems. Some of them are to be solved by the newly released patch 1.0.3.

One of the novelties introduced in the update is related to... the game's popularity. The latter caused that playing on the most popular servers often requires extremely long waiting in line. As a result, players created new characters in less populated worlds. Now, this is no longer necessary. Patch 1.0.3 adds the option to transfer characters, however, it is being rolled out gradually. It was tested over a long period of time, which the developers emphasized with two extras for the players as a reward for their patience - the telling title "Stoic" and a free waiting emote.

Each account receives one token for free, enabling you to move your character to another server, although the devs have not ruled out giving out additional "tokens" in the near future, if necessary. Later, they will have to be purchased in the game store. Details can be found here.

Apart from this novelty, the patch brought with it a long list of improvements (like better notifications about property tax cuts or getting kicked from the server) and fixed bugs. The latter include "little things" like translation errors and pets returning to the player's "inventory" as well as login issues.

In addition, Amazon Game Studios outlined plans for future updates. Developers will remove bugs such as the premature start of wars and invasions and blocking players when entering or leaving instances.
