New World Open Beta Launches
Open beta tests of New World, one of the most promising MMORPGs of the year, launched on Steam.
Open beta of New World, the MMORPG from Amazon Games, has launched. Those interested in pre-release tests of this game should go to Steam, where they can download it.
The open beta will end on September 12, so you do not have much time to check out the game. The progress made during these few days will not be transferred to the full version.
The launch of the open beta did not go smoothly. After the AI and many of the tasks broke down, the developers were forced to restart the Olympus server.
Earlier closed tests enjoyed great interest, so it's not a big surprise that after the start of the open beta players rushed to New World. According to data gathered by SteamDB, yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, the game was played by 141,668 people at the same time. At the time of writing this news, the game is in the top ten most popular titles on Steam.
The activity record of closed beta was 190,811 simultaneous players. However, participation in these tests required the purchase of a pre-order, while the open beta is free, so we expect this result to be beaten this weekend.
The full version of New World will launch on September 28, this year, exclusively on PC.
