New Skin Tones Available in The Sims 4
New customization options have arrived to The Sims 4. Update with over 100 new skin tones and sliders to adjust the makeup color has just gone live.
This year was not the best year for the image of The Sims 4. There were many voices of criticism on the Internet that questioned the validity of the decisions made by Electronic Arts. One of the loudest issues of this kind were complaints about limited customization options - especially in terms of skin color and tones. Community's action brought the intended effect and the creators announced an update, expanding the options for more accurate personalization of out Sims. Yesterday, the patch finally saw the light of day on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Added customization options include the aforementioned skin colors and makeup. For the former, a new tab has been created in the character creation panel. There are over 100 new complexions, divided into 4 categories - warm, neutral, cool and other. After selecting one of them we will also see a special slider that enables us to additionally modify its shade.
In the case of makeup, 4 sliders will appear for existing colors, which enable us to adjust the shade, saturation, brightness and transparency of the selected element.
In both cases, you can save the colors you have created - just press the plus under the sliders.
Although the solution is not perfect and includes only two elements from the sim creation process, it is still a step towards expanded range of character appearance customization options.
