New RPG Based on Stranger Things Coming Next Year

During the Netflix discussion panel at E3 2019, a new RPG based on the Stranger Things series was announced, as well as other already known upcoming productions of the service.

In addition to the biggest giants of the gaming industry, Netflix also appeared at E3 2019 and organized a special discussion panel. The event was devoted almost entirely to two games licensed for series and movies - Stranger Things 3: The Game and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics, which was announced on Tuesday's Nintendo Direct. However, apart from short and general statements by developers and producers, we have not learned anything new.

Netflix representatives assured us that they had further plans for the games, including the organization of various thematic events in popular titles such as Fortnite. However, only one new project could be confirmed so far. It is the Stranger Things RPG, developed for iOS and Android, which is expected to be released in 2020. The title's developer is Next Games, known for mobile games based on The Walking Dead TV series. The production will use GPS technology and be integrated with Google Maps. This is to allow users to explore the so-called "Upside Down" in the real world. Stranger Things' graphic design will bring to mind classic American Saturday morning cartoons.
