Keanu Reeves is the Second Most Important Character in Cyberpunk 2077
Marcin Iwinski from CD Projekt RED referred to Keanu Reeves' presence in Cyberpunk 2077. According to the creator, the actor is the second most important character in terms of the number of dialogue lines in the game and will play an important role in the story. Few presentations at this year's edition of the E3 fair caused such a spontaneous reaction as Keanu Reeves' appearance during the Cyberpunk 2077 presentation. The involvement of the well-known actor caused a lot of emotion, and now it turns out that the character played by him will in turn play an important role in the game. We have previously reported that Reeves will provide voice (and face) to Johnny Silverhand, who will accompany the main character for a large part of the story, which suggested more than an performance. This was confirmed by today's conversation between Geoff Keighley and Marcin Iwinski. The co-founder of CD Projekt RED said Silverhand was the second most important character in terms of spoken dialogues in Cyberpunk 2077. The creators contacted Reevees about a year ago and since then they have been recording dialogues with him in the studio for fifteen days. Iwinski did not specify, however, whether further sessions would be necessary - so far developers have had to be careful to keep Reeves' involvement a secret (as you will read further on).

Keanu Reeves on E3 2019 - surprised as much as surprising
The presentation of Cyberpunk 2077 is undoubtedly one of the most memorable moments of the E3 2019 fair, thanks in no small part to Keanu Reeves, whose appearance caused a spontaneous reaction of the audience. Reeves himself was also surprised, as recent reports confirm. Variety interviewed Phil Spencer about the artist's performance. Even before he entered the stage, Xbox's boss was supposed to explain to him that it would not be "just another corporate performance", and "the fans will go crazy". However, Reeves didn't seem to care too much, since just before the show he calmly checked out the current version of Cyberpunk 2077 together with the creators of CD Projekt RED in a separate room and went directly from there to the stage. But when Spencer saw him again after the performance, the actor was clearly impressed and was only able to say a short "wow".
Reeves' appearance in the game and on E3 2019 itself was a closely guarded mystery. During the rehearsals, he was replaced by a double, and the artist even received his own code name, which he was called in conversations. Reeves himself didn't show up at the fair until the morning of his performance. All this so that the moment when the actor's silhouette emerges from behind the smoke, is remembered both by the participants of the Microsoft conference and by the viewers watching it via the Internet.
It should be added that Phil Spencer was by no means the initiator of this idea. On the contrary, Xbox's boss had concerns about Reeves' appearance. As he stated in an interview with Variety, he had in mind numerous situations in which the promotion of the game on E3 with the participation of celebrities met with a poor reception of the audience. It was CD Projekt RED that wanted the actor to appear on stage, which Microsoft agreed to because of the "great relations" with the Polish studio. Fortunately, there was no disaster, and the appearance of Keanu Reeves will go down in history as one of the most memorable moments of this year's edition of the E3 fair. Phil Spencer himself does not complain that the actor's performance has overshadowed other, and perhaps even more important announcements,of the Redmond giant (for example, about the company's next console).
