New Releases on Steam; This Week is Monster Hunting
This week on Steam brings new expansions to Monster Hunter: Rise, Outriders, and Cuphead, racing games F1 22 and MX vs ATV Legends, and an RPG from Chris Avellone.
Welcome to another review of the week's top releases on Steam. The coming days will bring the debuts of several big games and highly anticipated DLCs.
The premiere of the week is Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (June 30, 2022).
All indications are that the most important release of the week will turn out to be Monster Hunter: Rise - Sunbreak. Tons of players are waiting for this DLC. The preorders have reached the list of biggest bestsellers on Steam.
The project promises to offer a lot - it will enrich the game with a new campaign and locations, previously unknown monsters and items, as well as introduce fresh gameplay mechanics.
It is worth adding that the basic version of Monster Hunter: Rise is currently on a roll. For the past two weeks, activity scores have been growing all the time and yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, the title was played on Steam by over 69 thousand players at the same time. These crowds are hungry for new experiences, so Sunbreak should to be a huge hit.
Major releases on Steam: June 27 - July 3, 2022

Disgaea 6 Complete
Fans of tactical jRPGs can look forward to the release of Disgaea 6 Complete, the latest installment of the popular series by Nippon Ichi. The game debuted last year on PS4, and tomorrow its PC version will hit Steam, containing all the DLCs released for the console original.
DNF Duel
On the other hand, fans of fighting games should be interested in DNF Duel. It is a spin-off of the wildly popular network game Dungeon Fighter Online, which focuses on one-on-one fights.
The game looks attractive, but the most important reason to wait for it is the fact that it was developed by the Japanese studio Arc System Works, the authors of the renowned Guilty Gear series.
Farming Simulator 22 - Kubota Pack
On Tuesday, the Kubota Pack expansion for Farming Simulator 22 will also. The DLC will introduce 11 new vehicles and equipment from the Japanese manufacturer.
Phobia - St. Dinfna Hotel
On the same day, we expect the release of Phobia - St. Dinfna Hotel, an psychological horror action adventure game, in which we play the role of a journalist investigating the case of a dark sect.
The game will combine survival horror-formula combat with typical adventure puzzles and stealth sections. It's the debut project of Pulsatrix Studios, but the demo released two years ago was quite enjoyable, so we hope that the full version will turn out to be an item of interest.
MX vs ATV Legends
Tuesday will also see the release of MX vs ATV Legends, the seventh part of the off-road racing series in which we race on motorcycles, quads and UTVs.
Four years have passed since the release of the previous installment (MX vs ATV All Out), so fans are hungry for new experiences.
theHunter: Call of the Wild - Revontuli Coast
In turn, fans of the hunter simulator theHunter: Call of the Wild will be able to buy the Revontuli Coast expansion this week, which will enable us to hunt in Finland.
June 29
Plop Saga

Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms
Fans of old-fashioned RPGs may be interested in the early access launch of Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms.
The game is expected to combine elements of traditional RPGs with the action-RPG genre, offering both an extensive storyline and heavy moral choices, as well as arcade combat.
It is worth mentioning that the co-author of the script is Chris Avellone, known from Fallout: New Vegas, Planescape: Torment or Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords.
Cuphead - The Delicious Last Course
Although it's only a DLC, one of the most important release of the week is Cuphead - The Delicious Last Course, a major expansion for the iconic and merciless platformer from 2017.
The expansion will introduce new levels, bosses, and the third playable character, which is Miss Chalice. The expansion has been long awaited, so hopes are high for this release.
Hook 2
In turn, Thursday will see the debut of Hook 2, which is a continuation of the excellent minimalist puzzle game from 2015, developed by Polish developer Maciej Targon.
The biggest novelty in comparison to the first part is the fact that the puzzles are now three-dimensional, which adds a lot of variety to the challenges.
Outriders: Worldslayer
This week, Polish online action game Outriders will receive its first major expansion in the form of Worldslayer. It will offer a new campaign and expanded progression options for all classes.
The maximum level will be raised to 200 and it will take about 100 hours to reach it.
The popularity of the game on Steam has significantly decreased since its release (currently, daily activity records are approx. 3 thousand players at the same time), so we are curious if the DLC will lead to a renaissance of the game.
July 1
F1 22
July will see the launch of F1 22, the latest installment of the popular racing series from Codemasters. The biggest novelties are to be house and character customization, as well as supercars.
In addition, the game is to reflect the changes that have taken place in the real world, which have resulted in the competition becoming more levelled. All this makes F1 22 promises to be extremely fresh for the brand, which is very good news after years of stagnation.
FireSquad
In turn FireSquad is a tactical strategy about firefighters. The whole thing is strongly modeled on Door Kickers, but instead of eliminating terrorists we will be dealing with putting out fires and rescuing people.
