New inZOI demo raises hopes of a real The Sims rival. Many players were unfairly outraged at the devs
inZOI: Creative Studio has been available on Steam for some time now. This demo of the upcoming life simulator has already attracted many players, who have managed to share their first impressions.

Yesterday on Steam, inZOI: Creative Studio appeared, a kind of demo version of the "Sims slayer," allowing players to test the character creator (Character Studio) and the building tool (Build Studio). Although it was clear from the very beginning that this was just a slice of the target game, some users seemed surprised by this fact. Others, however, are having a blast and are eagerly waiting for more, provided they manage to launch the "demo."
"I can't play the game" posts
Surprisingly, on the Steam forum, there are many comments from players expressing their dissatisfaction, claiming the demo lacks a "game" - as if they missed the information about what inZOI: Creative Studio is.
Due to this misunderstanding—supposedly caused by a wave of "TikToks" and streams (some developers received early access)—a post appealing for reason appeared.
Do you guys not know how to read? It was and is super clear it is a demo. It's not their fault you made assumptions, stop leaving negative posts and comments because you didn't read what it said.
Will inZOI sweep The Sims 4 off the board?
However, many players approach Creative Studio with enthusiasm. They underline the advantages of the character creator and the presence of interesting tools for building. Some users even claim that inZOI has a chance to outclass The Sims 4:
This will wipe The Sims 4 off the surface. After 10 minutes in Creative Studio, I am absolutely delighted. This is a fully-fledged character creation tool, like in The Sims 3. […] You can create 3D objects from graphic files on your computer and even design your own items directly in the game - wrote AG2590.
I LOVE the detailed character customization and how good they look. However, I don't like the choice of clothes. I'm counting on more options. Some clothes didn't fit my character well, especially shorts and one-piece outfits [...] - stated B The Queen.
Developers reassure - more clothes will appear in the next updates, which is confirmed by the roadmap.
How about inZOI's optimization?
Technically speaking, Creative Studio is said to perform very well, even on less powerful rigs. After the recent announcement of the official system requirements of the game - this is quite a pleasant surprise. Posts praising the smoothness of the gameplay appeared on the forum:
For a second go to this demo, the performance has really improved, it runs smoothly on ultra settings, and my equipment is not top-notch. I have an RTX 3060 Ti, and despite that everything runs great. […] Nonetheless, only launching the actual game with all its features will be the real test.
Some people admit that even on very low settings, the game looks great.
Technical issues
However, there were some problems. Some players report that the demo doesn't launch at all (there are quite a few threads about this on the Steam forum). There are also occasional minor graphical glitches (e.g., texture penetration). Others, however, point out flaws related to blurred objects during construction. Many of these bugs will probably be fixed before the full version of the game is released.
Although the "demo" elicits strong reactions, ranging from admiration to confusion about its content, one thing is clear: inZOI is garnering significant attention, as evidenced by the fact that over 10,000 players are now testing Creative Studio (via SteamDB.info).
The full version of the game will be released in early access on March 28th. Then we will finally find out if inZOI really has a chance to dethrone The Sims series.
