New Fable Will Be Powered by Forza's Engine
All indications are that the new installment of the Fable series will use the ForzaTech graphics engine - the same one that powers the Forza Motrosport and Forza Horizon racing games.
Information that appeared on Turn 10 Studios' LinkedIn profile suggests that the next installment of the Fable RPG series will use the ForzaTech graphics engine, known for the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon racing game series.
"Do you want to have a major impact on 3 AAA titles in development across 2 beloved Xbox franchises? ForzaTech is the engine, tools, and pipelines that drive both the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon series of games. In addition to adding new features like raytracing to support the next console generation, we are also enriching the toolset to support an open world action RPG – Fable," reads the announcement.
It is worth recalling that we are talking about the game that was officially announced in July last year by showing its first teaser. Since then, we have not learned any details. So we can only hope that soon we will finally get the first official information about this work.
The last full-fledged instalment of the series was Fable III, which was released on Xbox 360 in 2010 (a few months later the PC version was also released).
