Devs of New Fable and Forza Horizon 6 Grow Stronger. Playground Games Opens New Division to Support Reboot of Cult RPG Series
Playground Games studio recently opened a new division. In it, the developers of the Forza Horizon series will continue working on a new installment of the Fable series.
Playground Games Studio, currently working on Forza Horizon 6 and the reboot of Fable, has recently inaugurated its third branch in the UK, specifically in the city of Leamington Spa, where its other two studio branches are also situated. The developer didn't mention the new office on his official website but updated the company description on LinkedIn, which was noticed by an informant specializing in tracking studios belonging to Microsoft.
This "spy" is a user of X with the nickname Klobrille. In his post, he quotes a fragment of the history of Playground Games currently visible on LinkedIn.
Today, Playground has three world-class studios in Leamington Spa. In our original HQ, we continue to support and grow the huge, vibrant Horizon community. In our new studios on the other side of town, we are excited to be developing Fable, a new beginning for the legendary franchise.
Therefore, we learned that the newly opened branch will be a place for further development of the upcoming Fable installment. It's worth mentioning that Eidos Montreal studio is also involved in the production of this title, and we got a glimpse of its current status through the trailer unveiled in June during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024.
As I mentioned above, there is no information about the other branch on the official Playground Games studio website. Only two of them are still described in more detail, and the company history in the "About" tab only includes known branches.
