New Diablo Immortal Update Will Erase Some of Your Progress
Game updates are usually a cause for joy among gamers. However, it turns out that the upcoming December update for Diablo Immortal may irritate many a fan.
As announced, in mid-December Diablo Immortal is set to receive its second major update. It will introduce, among other things, further server merging and another battle pass (here you can learn about all the changes that the patch will contain). Unfortunately, the problem is that the patch will reset any player progress earned in a chapter in the Hero's Journey..
Interestingly, the announcement about the impact of the update appeared only in the Chinese version of the announcement. As reported by PCGamesN, it was only after the discussion on Diablo Immortal subreddit heated up, Blizzard's community manager informed that the developers have corrected the English-language message, which now states the following:
"Following server maintenance as part of our next major update on December 14, your existing chapter progress in the Hero's Journey will be reset.".
In addition, we learn from the note that - presumably as a solace for bitter players - users' unclaimed rewards will go to their in-game mailboxes.
As expected, the announcement has caused confusion among players. First of all fans are worried that they will lose their progress or won't be able to complete a chapter on time due to the daily restrictions imposed by the game's system.
