New CoD MW Gameplay Shows First 20 Minutes of Campaign
Tomorrow will see the official release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but before the we have the opportunity to see the first 20 minutes of gameplay from the story campaign. Will there really be such brutal scenes as it was announced?
Activision Blizzard has so far advertised Call of Duty: Modern Warfare mainly through the presentation of online modes. Although there is no denying that they are the most important part of the game for many potential buyers, there is also an opposing camp of players who focus their attention on the story campaign. This one was not a frequent guest in promotional materials, so it was difficult to deduce from the available fragments whether it was worth waiting for the game of Infinity Ward also because of the single-mode. Now that's changed with new video published by IGN that shows the first 20 minutes of gameplay; you can watch below:
We warn against possible spoilers! You watch on your own responsibility.
The gameplay shows a fragment of Fog of War mission, where after a helicopter landing we find ourselves in the forest. The beginning is exceptionally calm, but if you were hoping for more silent action like the mission in Pripyat from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, you would be disappointed. The action is gaining momentum quite quickly and we can see the shooting scenes in both open and closed areas. In the next part, we witness some cut-scenes and then the events take us to the city, so the gameplay is quite diverse and does not show anything especially brutal, but certainly the "best" is just before us. The material also enables us a better look at the visuals, the improvement of which is particularly visible in the character models and their facial expressions. We would like to remind that the length of a story campaign is traditionally about 6-7 hours.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on October 25, this year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
