Netflix's One Piece Season 2 Will Feature 7 New Characters - This Is What They Should Look Like
Information has emerged on what actors the creators of the live-action One Piece are looking for. Here you can find out what the characters in the Netflix TV series should look like.
One Piece has undeniably been a success on Netflix, proving to be a very good live-action adaptation of the manga. The world went crazy for a new version of Luffy's adventures, so it's no surprise that it was decided to create a season 2 of One Piece, in which, of course, new characters will be introduced. And thanks to the fact that castings have been announced, we know exactly which characters will appear in the upcoming episodes, as well as what they should look like according to the TV series' creators.
We have learned that at least 7 new characters will appear in One Piece season 2. Below is their full list. Of course, these are characters well known to fans of the manga and anime One Piece.
- For the role of Nefertari Vivi, a woman from the Middle East, North Africa or South Asia who is 17-20 years old is sought. Given the origin of the manga heroine, this characterization of the actress makes sense, as the Arabastra Kingdom draws inspiration from the Middle East.
- Season 2 will also introduce Nico Robin, for whom the producers are looking for a actress between the ages of 20 and 39 who is Hispanic or Latino. Whoever they choose for the role, we know it will be someone who will stay in the TV series for a long time, as Nico Robin is one of the significant characters in One Piece.
- The new episodes will also feature Smoker, who is expected to be played by a white male aged 25-35. Nothing more has been specified about the sought-after actor who will play one of the more popular antagonists.
- Since we're going to see Smoker, Tashigi couldn't be missing either. For her, Netflix is looking for an Asian actress between the ages of 20-29.
- Miss Valentine will also be present on the small screen in a live-action TV show and will be played by a white woman aged 20-29.
- Mr. 5 is working with Miss Valentine, and he too will be seen in the live-action One Piece. The role will be played by a black man between the ages of 20 and 29.
- Crocus will also be introduced in season 2. For the role they are looking for a man aged 65-79, nothing more was given.
So as you can see, we've learned a little bit about who we'll see in the upcoming season and how the creators of the live-action One Piece series envision these characters. It seems that they are looking for actors who will reflect what the characters looked like in the original. And given that casting information has only just emerged, we shouldn’t likely expect to find out any time soon who specifically will play these characters. We will have to wait a while for such announcements.
