Netflix Reports That Queen's Gambit is Its Most Watched Miniseries
Netflix reports that Queen's Gambit jumped to first place in the miniseries ranking on the platform. The method Netflix uses, however, may raise some objections.

According to the statistics provided by Netflix, Queen's Gambit has broken the audience record for miniseries. During the first 28 days after its launch, the production was played on 62 million user accounts.

It is worth noting that in the general ranking of all series, i.e. longer than one season, The Witcher remains in first place, with 76 million viewers in the same period since its premiere.

However, the method Netflix has been using since 2019 to calculate the popularity of its shows may raise some objections. Unlike in the case of traditional television, Netflix only needs the viewer to see only two minutes of the show in order to consider it "watched". The number of viewers who have actually watched at least a few episodes of a given series may therefore be much lower.
However, this does not change the fact that Queen's Gambit is an unquestionable hit. The production has become number 1 in 63 countries, including Great Britain, Argentina and Israel. On Rotten Tomatoes, the series continues to hold an incredible 100% of the postive critic ratings and 96% of the audience.
