Monster Hunter: Rise Coming to PC
The developers at Capcom announced that Monster Hunter: Rise will be ported to PC. The PC release will come out next year.
- Developer: Capcom
- Genre: action RPG
- Release date on Switch: March 26, 2021
- Release date on PC: early 2022.
Rumors from a few months ago have been confirmed. Capcom informed that in addition to the previously announced release on Nintendo Switch, Monster Hunter: Rise will also come to PC. PC gamers, however, will wait a bit longer, because the release on PC will take place only in early 2022. Recall that the console version will debut on March 26, this year.
Plans to port the game to PC were revealed during an interview with producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yasunori Ichinose for Fanbyte. The developers stressed that the port is in the early stages of development, so for now they cannot share any details.
The announcement of the PC version is not a particular surprise. Monster Hunter: World turned out to be a great success, showing the publisher that there is a great demand for games from this brand on PC.
It is worth recalling that the first rumors about a possible PC version of the game appeared in November last year. They were based on documents that were supposedly stolen from Capcom during a hacking attack. Since the information about the port of Monster Hunter: Rise turned out to be true, it's likely the same will be true of other reports from this source.
The stolen data also included information about the PC releases of Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. However, one must take into account that these mentions were found in a documents dated 2018, so the publisher's plans may have changed since then.
