Minecraft Legends With New, Higher System Requirements
Just over a month away from release, Minecraft Legends has received an update to the PC version's system requirements. Changes include supported GPUs and operating system.
Minecraft Legends is an upcoming game from the familiar "cubic" universe. Maintained in a friendly, colorful setting, the game combines elements of action and strategy - it has us build fortifications, participate in battles, gather needed resources, and cooperate with other players on a vast map.
Less than a year ago we informed about the announced system requirements for players interested in the PC version. However, these have changed and are currently as follows:
Minecraft Legends - minimum requirements
- Processor: Intel Core i5 2.8 GHz
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 / AMD Radeon R9 285 / Intel HD 520
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- DirectX: Version 12
- Operating System: Windows 10 or 11
- Disk space: 24 GB
Minecraft Legends - recommended requirements
- Processor: Intel Core i5 3.4 GHz
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- DirectX: Version 12
- Operating System: Windows 10 or 11
- Disk space: 24 GB
Compared to the previous list of components, the changes mainly concern GPUs. The emergence of the requirement for DirectX 12 API support has forced the replacement of GPUs in the minimum specification with slightly younger units that can cope with the aforementioned technology. In addition, there has been an increase in free disk space required for play - from 8 to 24 GB.
The last major update is the one regarding the operating system. Windows 10 or 11 will be required to play. This change is probably also related to DX 12 - older systems simply do not support the technology.
Minecraft Legends will launch on April 18, this year. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Switch.
