Minecraft 1.18 Delights Players With Unique Landscapes
Minecraft 1.18 for now is available only as an experimental snapshot. Despite this, it has already managed to impress players with landscapes they would almost never encounter in the game before the debut of all the novelties from the Caves & Cliffs Update.
For two days now, Minecraft enables us to test the new features of the second part of the big update called Caves & Cliffs. For now, only as an experimental snapshot, which does not include, among other things, optimization fixes, incidentally one of the reasons for splitting the update into two smaller ones. However, these and other inconveniences typical of test versions do not bother the players. On the contrary, just take a look at Reddit to see that the snapshot of version 1.18 made quite an impression on Minecraft fans.
One of the highlights of Caves & Cliffs was to be a number of changes to the process of generating worlds in Minecraft, thanks to which the game will feature mountains, caves and biomes, which so far could not be encountered in the game. It's this novelty that has been delayed due to, among other things, problems with optimization. Player reports show that there is a lot to look forward to. People testing the snapshot update 1.18 are in awe of numerous beautiful or strange landscapes. Others have treated them as challenges, finding safe or spectacular ways to traverse the vast caverns.
Version 1.18 is not only a "new" world full of topographic wonders. The snapshot also changes the distribution of ores and gems and mobs. The latter can now spawn only in total darkness, which makes traversing caves much easier. As this is an experimental build, many things are still missing or may be changed after the release. Apart from that - even without optimization - players hope that Mojang will make various improvements (for example, the appearance of fog in the dungeons, which can now extend far beyond the avatar's field of view). There's still plenty of time for that. Caves & Cliffs: Part II will be released at the end of the year. If you want to test this update in advance, you can find instructions on how to access this and other experimental snapshots in our previous message.
