Millions of Players Participated in Open Beta of The Finals, New Shooter From Battlefield Veterans
Embark Studios has reported how many millions of players took part in the open beta testing of the F2P online shooter The Finals. The number is impressive.
Launched on October 26 and completed on November 5, open beta-testing of the online shooter The Finals proved to be a huge success. Today, Embark Studios announced on Twitter/X, that a total of 7.5 million players participated.
The figure is respectable, though not a complete surprise. On October 29 at one point The Finals was running on the accounts of 267,874 Steam users. At the same time, it should be remembered that the open beta was also available on PS5 and XSX/S.
Significantly, this free-to-play shooter by veterans of the Battlefield series appealed to players. Many of them suggested in a discussion on Valve's platform forum that they would be happy to continue playing The Finals even in its current state. Some have started counting down the time to the premiere.
Unfortunately we do not know when exactly to expect the launch of The Finals. It will most likely happen in 2024. Embark Studios has announced that it currently needs to "cool down." After returning to work, the developers will work on making the fixes and improvements that the community has suggested. At the same time, they thanked the players, ending the post with the words "until next time." Could this mean that we are in for another beta?
