Last week, The Finals got a patch focusing on aim assist. By the way, the creators from Embark Studios promised that in the coming days, fans should expect a much larger patch, introducing "significant improvements in terms of security and new content."

The developers didn't make empty promises. Today, the popular online FPS will receive update 1.5.0. On this occasion, the creators have posted a short teaser online, presenting said update. You can watch it below.

From the information contained in the video, we learn that an experimental" PvP mode will be added to the game with the update. This is essentially the standard Bank It option, but without the team support we could rely on. Instead, we will have to face off individually against 11 other competitors to see who can reach the set goal (i.e., the appropriate amount of money) first.

In addition, the update will introduce balance changes, bug fixes, additional outfits and improved security. The latter is especially important, because since the December release, The Finals has been suffering from a plague of cheaters who can be pretty toxic. This is one of the reasons why the number of active players on Steam has been decreasing slightly, but steadily for several days now. We would also like to remind you that the title can be played for free on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
