Microsoft collects players' ideas for improving Windows 10
Microsoft has started to collect ideas from Windows 10 users for improvements to the system that would make life easier for players. Anyone willing to do so can submit their own proposals for changes and vote for other people's suggestions.
Microsoft has launched the Xbox Ideas project, which is aimed at Windows 10 users. Similarly to the similar console edition of the action, the company collects the players' suggestions about what can be introduced to the OS to make life more enjoyable and easier for electronic entertainment fans. The suggestions uploaded on the form can be voted on via a dedicated website. The most popular of them will be passed on to the Windows 10 development team, and may even be implemented.
The top spot among the proposals submitted up to date is taken by a suggestion that Windows should automatically disable unnecessary processes to free PC’s resources when a game is started. In second place there is a request for a new version of the system, created specifically for the players. On the third spot, we will find an idea to enable a quick launch of selected titles using a gamepad connected to the PC. At the moment it’s difficult to say whether Xbox Ideas for Windows 10 is just a PR trick or a significant gesture towards the consumers. However, it is worth remembering that in the case of the Xbox console, some of the fans' suggestions were taken into account in subsequent firmware updates.
