Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition Launch in May; RTX GPU Required

The developers of the refreshed version of Metro Exodus have confirmed its May release date. The game, which originally debuted in 2019, will receive a number of visual upgrades and full support for the latest ray tracing technologies.

We found out the final release date of Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition on PC. It has been set for May 6. As we already reported a few months ago, we are dealing with a completely new version of the game from 2019. It offers a number of visual enhancements that were absent in the original. The title will offer full support for DLSS 2.0 and ray-tracing technology with all additional features, such as Advanced Ray Traced Reflections. New visuals options have been implemented thanks to close cooperation of the developers with Nvidia.

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition will be available for free to all existing Metro Exodus owners on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG.com and Microsoft Store. The title will be available as a completely separate game that will be added to our account in the selected store. Both versions of Metro Exodus will use the same saved game states (except Microsoft Store). The devs will also introduce the option to unlock any chapter of the story. This will make life easier for fans who would like to quickly see how each location will look in the new visuals.

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition weighs about 72.2 GB, but with all DLC this size will increase to over 80 GB. The new version can be launched only by owners of GPUs that support ray-tracing, such as GeForce RTX 2000. Detailed system requirements can be found below.
