Mass Effect 5 Devs Tease Community With Game's Release Date
Could we play Mass Effect 5 this early? The developers are teasing the players again.
We know very little about the latest installment of Mass Effect, despite it already being in the production phase, so it's no wonder that fans of the adventures of Shepard and co. await any new information. So far we have received the official trailer and various teasers. Now another such material has appeared online, which may suggest a release date for the game.
Mass Effect 5 in 2023?
BioWare's official Twitter profile published a short footage showing Normandy flying through space. There are no hidden messages there and the tweet itself is rather simple.
A day later, the post was addressed by Michael Gamble, who is overseeing work on the project.
This is, of course, a loose teaser, which may or may not suggest that the latest installment of Mass Effect will be released later this year. However, until the information is announced directly, it is better to approach this vision with a slight dose of skepticism.
It is worth recalling that the game is being developed under the guidance of veterans, who also co-created the previous parts of the trilogy. In addition, Mass Effect 5 (this is, of course, a working title) will not be developed on Frostbite engine, but on Unreal Engine 5, which has been very well received by players. The game has to face very high expectations of gamers, so I find it hard to believe that the title can debut in a very good condition later this year, although of course I would like to be positively surprised.
