- More than 10 thousand people were present on the PC servers at the hottest moment of the day.
The free weekend with Marvel's Avengers brought the game back to life. On Steam the title recorded several hundred percent jump in active player number, reaching over 10,000 users at the hottest moment which fell on Saturday afternoon hours.
Despite the game's poor reception on the release day, Crystal Dynamics is constantly working on developing Marvel's Avengers. In a little over two weeks, there will be another campaign introducing Black Panther as playable character - War for Wakanda. The launch is scheduled for August 17.
Until now, the standard in the PC version of Avengers was a daily average of 500 people. The free weekend, which offers, among other things, 400% of experience points, raised this number to several thousand. The number of people watching broadcasts from the title on Twitch also increased.
It's been a while since Marvel's Avengers could boast such good numbers, specifically on the release day and shortly after, when at the hottest moment over 30 thousand users played the game on PC. It should also be remembered that the presented chart applies only to PC, and the game is also available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia, so a lot more people are checking out the title for free right now. The question remains how many of them will decide to stay with the game for longer.
