Marvel's Avengers Will Soon Get Female Thor

The makers of Marvel's Avengers have announced that Jane Foster, a superheroine with Thor's powers, will soon be joining the game.

Crystal Dynamics announced the next two updates to Marvel's Avengers. The plans include the addition of Jane Foster as a playable character.

Patch 2.4 to Marvel's Avengers will offer event improvements

The next update will bear the number 2.4 and is expected to be released this May. The patch will offer a reworked event system to make re-playing events more interesting.

This will be achieved mainly by changing the reward system. In each event we will receive loot from different sets. Completing tasks in events will also be rewarded more frequently. More details about these changes will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Patch 2.5 will bring Jane Foster as playable character

On the other hand, patch 2.5 will introduce a new playable heroine to Marvel's Avengers, in the form of Jane Foster. Of course, it's about her version that has the powers of Thor thanks to wielding the hammer Mjolnir.

The plans to add this superheroine are not surprising, as she will play a key role in Thor: Love and Thunder, where she will be played by Natalie Portman (the first opportunity to see her in action was the recently released trailer). Developers want to use the interest in this cinematic production to increase the popularity of their game.

The developers haven't announced a planned release date for update 2.4, but we expect it to be released around the premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder. The movie will hit theaters this July.
