Yesterday, a post was shared on the Marvel Games profile on X, teasing the upcoming announcement of a new game. The secret couldn't be protected from leaks and at the moment we already have a handful of unconfirmed information.

  1. The game is to be titled Marvel Rivals, and is being developed by the NetEase studio.
  2. It is purportedly a game in the style of Overwatch or Valorant with characters from the Marvel universe, but with a third-person perspective instead of first-person.
  3. This won't be a typical hero-shooter, as heroes without long-range weapons will only engage in close combat (e.g. Hulk or Magik).

New characters like Moon Knight will be added to the lineup over time as the game is designed for consoles and PC. The game won't have any PvE modes, and it will mainly focus on player versus player battles.

The characters will have the ability to transform during the game, such as when Hulk's life falls below a specific level, he will change into Bruce Banner and begin to regenerate.

In addition to the information mentioned above, a potential list of heroes that we will be able to control has also been leaked. These are:

  1. Bruce Banner;
  2. Punisher;
  3. Storm;
  4. Loki;
  5. Doctor Strange;
  6. Mantis;
  7. Rocket Raccoon;
  8. Black Panther;
  9. Groot;
  10. Magik;
  11. Luna Snow;
  12. Iron Man;
  13. Spider-Man;
  14. Magneto;
  15. Scarlet Witch;
  16. Peni Parker;
  17. Star-Lord;
  18. Namor.

To confirm this information, we have to wait until 8:00 PT, when the official game announcement is planned.
