Manor Lords Fans Banned From Discussing Mods. For Official Mod Support We'll Have to Wait

We still have to wait for the official support of mods in Manor Lords. Until then, discussion of them on the game's Discord channel is prohibited.

The developer and publisher of Manor Lords don't want to talk about mods for now. Grzegorz Styczen and Hooded Horse have temporarily blocked the possibility of discussing this topic on the game's official Discord channel. This also includes any questions about bugs related to fan modifications.

According to one moderator's announcement, this is to ensure that players are exposed to the "core mechanics" of Manor Lords in the current version.

This doesn't mean that the game dev is against mods. On the contrary, Styczen has already shown that he values the actions of the modders. Even if the result is Shrek defending his "swamp" (via X). The new rule applies exclusively to discussions and, of course, sharing pages and ways to download mods.

The ban will be lifted as soon as the game receives official mod support. However, it's currently unknown when this will happen, as this function isn't a priority for the developer. Manor Lords has only recently been released in early access, and there are many other tasks for the dev to complete before the title is available in its complete version.

Just a few days ago, ML received its first real update. The players welcomed the patch warmly because of the higher level of challenge, although it is still only in the beta version.
