Trailer of an upcoming Polish strategy game won the hearts of many players.
IN A NUTSHELL:
  • A few days ago, a trailer of a medieval RTS - Manor Lords - was published;
  • The trailer quickly appealed to players who liked this type of games;
  • In Manor Lords the gameplay will be divided into two segments: city expansion and real-time battles;
  • The game is scheduled to debut this fall in Steam's early access.

A few days ago, a new real-time strategy was announced, set in the realities of the Middle Ages - Manor Lords - featuring some city builder elements. The project is developed by Polish dev, hiding under the pseudonym Slavic Magic. The dev recently released the trailer of his game online, which was warmly welcomed by many players (the relevant Reddit thread has already been liked by over 6 thousand users, and a large part of them admitted that from now on they are waiting for the game's release). More than 100 thousand people have already watched the trailer on YouTube, so one can safely say that the creator has reasons to be satisfied. The title will be released this fall on PC and can already be added to the wish list on Steam.

The dev has been working on the game by himself for three years and everything seems to indicate that he is quite ambitious about the title. The game is created on Unreal Engine, and the developer took care of realistic behavior of units during battles (with the help of the so-called motion capture), high-quality graphics (he also used photogrammetry), as well as physics and destruction of environment.

In Manor Lords players will be able to engage in two main activities - building cities and settlements and fighting huge battles in real time. In the first case, the emphasis has been placed on the freedom of expansion (there are no typical hex grid), where the landscape and trade routes are most important for the direction of city development. However, the battles are to be very realistic, and their course will be influenced by such things as weather, morale or army fatigue. A properly selected strategy will even enable us to defeat a larger army. The full version of the game will also include cavalry units, siege machines and gunpowder.
