Manor Lords Finally Gets Long-Awaited Major Update. Record Low Price for Strategy Game Now Available on Steam
It took a long time to work on patch 0.8.004 for Manor Lords, but finally, Grzegorz Styczen made the big update available to all players. At the same time, the Polish strategy game received a record-low sale on Steam.
The new, big update for Manor Lords is now available for all players. The update moves the game to Unreal Engine 5 and brings many new features, which Grzegorz Styczen and his team have been discussing in recent weeks, releasing further updates in the beta version.
Manor Lords 0.8.004 - what's new?
- Thanks to the switch to Unreal Engine 5 Manor Lords has become even more stunning – the strategy will now treat us to volumetric clouds and sharper shadows than before. The devs had some problems with stabilizing this version, but they eventually managed to achieve the desired state.
- Fishing mechanics have been introduced (be cautious as ponds freeze in winter), the option for butchers to deliver meat if there is a surplus of cattle, and a new food spoilage system (e.g. sausages can be limited by using extracted salt).
- It's now possible to craft crossbows, which we can equip militiamen and mercenary hunters with.
- An option has been added to set reserves for raw materials and production limits for specific buildings.
- The balance and optimization have been improved, and a handful of bugs have been eliminated.
You can check the detailed list of changes in the developer's post.
Manor Lords 0.8.004 - technical issues
Before starting to play with the new update, you need to remember two things.
- If we have previously tested the beta, we should choose the "none" option in the properties under the "beta" tab to use the default version of Manor Lords.
- Regardless of whether we did this or not, the developers recommend starting the game from the beginning.
Record-low price of Manor Lords
It's also worth mentioning that until October 10, Manor Lords is available at a record-low price on Steam. The strategy can be purchased 30% cheaper – for $27.99. Just a reminder, the game is also available on the PC Game Pass service.
