- Pedro Pascal gave an interview for Entertainment Tonight, in which he admitted that he doesn't know how many seasons of The Mandalorian will be produced.
- According to the actor, everything comes down to how long the high quality of the show can be maintained.
- Moreover, the actor revealed that the filmmakers don't keep him in the dark and provide him with full scripts of the subsequent episodes before the shooting starts.
The Mandalorian has won the hearts of many Star Wars fans around the world. Two full seasons of the show, created by Jon Favreau, are already available on the Disney+ platform, and the third one is in preparation. But how many episodes will the show eventually reach? As Pedro Pascal, playing the main character, admitted in an interview for Entertainment Tonight, he doesn't know it himself. To quote his words (around 5:00 on the video below):
"I think that quality will always override quantity. So as long as is stays on this incredible standard to which is at - it's more the matter of that than anything else."
Of course these are very high-flying statements. The question is whether the creators of the series have a similar opinion and don't give in to the temptation to create one more season when faced with exhaustion of interesting ideas for further development of The Mandalorian. Let's keep our fingers crossed so that this does not happen.
Of other interesting things about The Mandalorian that came up during an interview for Entertainment Tonight, Pedro Pascal revealed that the storyline details of individual episodes are not concealed from him before shooting, for example, in order to evoke a more believable surprise response. He gets full scripts before the shooting starts and, for example, from the beginning he knew the real name of Baby Yoda. He also knows the details of the upcoming episodes, but of course he did not reveal them.
Finally, we remind that even if The Mandalorian ends, its fans will be left with quite a lot of things to watch. Some time ago three spin-offs of this production were announced - Ahsoka, Rangers of the New Republic and The Book of Boba Fett. The latter will debut in December 2021.
