Luminflux Pyxis in HSR - Tips and Tricks
In HSR, the player first encounters Luminflux Pyxis in the main story, but optional challenges await later. If you’re having trouble, our tips will help you.
During the Main Story in Xianzhou Luofu in Honkai Star Rail, players have to solve Luminflux Pyxis puzzles to progress. Those who enjoyed it can find Master Gongshu in the Artisanship Commission afterwards for more challenges. However, if you’re not sure where to go or how the puzzles work, check out our tips below.
Luminflux Pyxis 3-day challenge – location
Start from the Space Anchor marked below and go down the stairs in front of you, then turn right and go until you reach another flight of stairs. The location of the Luminflux Pyxis is marked by a puzzle symbol on the map.
Go down to a large courtyard where Master Gongshu is waiting. Talk to him and agree to help, it will start the challenge.
Luminflux Pyxis – tips and tricks
Unlike in the story, where you had to use the energy from the Luminflux Pyxis to destroy roots, now your targets are semi-transparent orbs. The rule is still the same – you have to orient the devices to hit all of them at once.
The bigger device that emits an energy beam is called a trigger node in the game, while a transmitter is called a receiver node.
- Observe the light rays coming out of the receiver nodes. The device is pointing in the direction where the ray is getting thinner. The rays always have to point “forward” to the next device to work – they can’t be directed at each other.
- You can turn the transmitters clockwise or counter-clockwise, but ultimately, you can’t go wrong. The devices turn 360 degrees, so if you go in the sub-obtimal direction, you will just have to click a couple more times.
- From Day 2 of the challenge, the puzzle adds a new mechanic – rails. The end that is lit up shows the position of the receiver node, while the opposite end is where it could be moved to.
- If you find the challenge difficult, don’t try to make sense of the whole board at once. Start from the receiver node the closest to the trigger node and work from there to point it at the next transmitter or orb to destroy.
- Trial and error is okay – if you’re not sure, try to fire the trigger node and observe the beam. If you didn’t succeed, look carefully where it doesn’t connect and which target is left. Then, focus on adjusting that area. The puzzle won’t reset if you fire it wrong and the rewards will be the same.
- Remember to come back every day for new challenges with Master Gongshu. The game will not prompt you to do so!
