Lovecraft Country Teaser Shows Racism and Monsters
A new trailer for the Lovecraft Country series has been released. The production combining the story of American racism of the 1950s with fictional elements of horror will debut in August in HBO.
HBO released a new trailer for Lovecraft Country, a horror TV series based on Matt Ruff's novel under the same title. The show will debut in August this year.
The action of the series will be set in the 1950s, telling the story of afro-american characters, who will have to face both racism and monsters pulled straight from the pages of H.P. Lovecraft's stories.
The novel's original sensitively combined the theme of real nightmare of racism with the fictitional horror of the great old ones, so we hope that the series will also be successful in this respect. There are good chances for that as Misha Green (Underground) and Jordan Peele (Get Out ) are responsible for the project and both have a lot of experience in dealing with these topics.
