After three years of early access, Longvinter was finally released in version 1.0. So, players can see the finished title. It’s a great opportunity to check out this almost cozy survival. However, the game is available only on PC. So, what about consoles like PS5, PS4, Xbox and Switch?

Longvinter – Console (PS5, PS4, Xbox and Switch) release explained

Longvinter was launched on PC (via Steam) on February 21, 2025. So, it is the only platform where you can play this title, nicknamed by community “Animal Crossing with guns”. In the future, however, this situation will change. In the post published on the occasion of the 1.0 release, the developers announced that the game will be available on PlayStation in 2026.

I am also excited to announce that the game will be releasing on PlayStation next year! The game will provide cross-play options so we don't have two separate player bases limiting player numbers.

As you can see, the post does not specify which devices Longvinter will be ported to. PS5 and PS5 Pro owners can be rather sure that they will be able to play this game. However, in the case of PS4 the odds are noticeably lower. Of course, new games are constantly coming out for this console, so don’t lose hope.

Sadly, there is no information about Xbox and Switch ports. Looking at the fact that the PlayStation version has already been announced, it can be assumed that at this point there are no plans to make the game available on these devices. However, there is a chance that developers will change their minds in the future.
