LoL - Spirit Blossom and New Game Mode
Yesterday, the Nexus Blitz, a rotation mode warmly remembered in the game's community, returned to League of Legends. Lillia, the new heroine, also appeared on the servers. What other novelties have been added to the game?
Riot has decided to give the players a true event. Recent events in League of Legends were limited to the release of new skins and a few tasks that awarded us with tokens that could be exchanged for prizes. This time, a lot of new things came to LoL. The beloved Nexus Blitz has returned, a new champion has been added for free, and Spirit Blossom story quests have been introduced.
Nexus Blitz
Nexus Blitz is a unique mode; as the creators themselves claim, it is an "experimental" mode, because it is created with the participation of players. It has its own map, set in the forest of Ionia, one of the lands in League of Legends universe. In this mode, everything is crazy and chaotic. Since there are only 2 lanes and a large jungle on the map, the 5-person team shares tasks in a slightly different way than in a normal game. 2 people take on the role of junglers (with automatically set Smite), while the other 3 share the lanes.
The games in Nexus Blitz mode don't last too long - with an even fight it's usually about 15 minutes. If we want to give up, we can do it as early as eight minutes in (in normal game we have to wait at least fifteen minutes).
How does the fun look like in Nexus Blitz? By default, our goal is to destroy the Nexus of the opposing team. In the meantime, however, there are crazy events that can yield us useful upgrades.
During one match there will be 2-3 events. The first one will become available in the fifth minute of the game. In this year's edition of Nexus Blitz there are 10 different events for which we will receive 10 different prizes. Detailed description of the events can be found on the official website.
Spiritual bonds
On the occasion of Spirit Blossom, story missions have appeared in the game. They are called Spirit Bonds. In order to start the quests we need to talk to each of the nine characters. During the conversation there are dialogue options, which, however, do not have too much influence on the development of events.
Each character has their own quests, and details of these are posted on the player support page.
It is important to talk to the spirits before the games start. Otherwise, we won't get bond points that raise the rank of this factor from D to S. These points will enable us to unlock the character's rewards.
Once we get the S rank, we have one more task ahead of us. We can give the character a spiritual petal, which will unlock a special emote. We can acquire spiritual petals by performing the spiritual petal growth missions. However, we will not be able to give them to all the characters. The petals are limited - 3 petals each player players, 5 for those who have decided to buy the pass.
At the end of the event, there are still some unique interactions with characters, whom we gave the petals. The developers have announced that the spirits will come "to wish us good luck in future adventures in which we will take part".
