Learn and Relax With World of Warcraft's Lo-Fi Music

Four remixes of tracks from the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion called Shadowlands are available on the youtube channel of World of Warcraft. Blizzard was probably inspired by the phenomenon of lo-fi music.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Blizzard uploaded remixes of songs from Shadowlands on YouTube;
  • Professional music producers are responsible for their composition, sounds were inspired by popular online lo-fi hip-hop music.

Blizzard surprises again - but this time positively. For the upcoming, eighth expansion for World of Wacraft, the company has decided to upload 4 remixed lo-fi tracks to its YouTube channel, the main tune of which is based on the soundtrack featured in Shadowlands. Professional music producers are responsible for creating each of them and there's no denying that it all sounds really good - it's music that's perfect to fire up in the background whether we want to relax or are busy with some homework.

Apart from the 4 few-minute remixes (Casiio took care of Sans Primus, Josh Carter tried his hand at Decadence Hospitality, Eevee got Nocturne Melancholy Dream, and Aspirants Journey Doubt was reworked by Bishop Nehru) Blizzard also published 4-hour compilation of all the aforementioned tracks. The whole thing was accompanied by some repetitive animations showing characters writing something on a piece of paper and charming animals in the background.

This move is a direct reference to very popular lo-fi hip-hop music streams, which we can follow on youtube channel called ChilledCow. On average, at the same time, they listened to by about 30-40 thousand users.

Internet users praise Blizzard's move very much and highly appreciate the quality of the newly created remixes. Perhaps it will make their last days of waiting for the Shadowlands more pleasant. The expansion will debut on November 23, 2020 on PC.
