Leak: RTX 3060 Ti Faster Than RTX 2080 Super
According to the latest leaks, the new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will be several percent faster than last year's GeForce RTX 2080 Super. The card will most likely be also $300 cheaper.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- According to the latest leaks, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will be 40% faster than the RTX 2060 Super;
- This means slightly higher performance than the RTX 2080 Super, and for $300 less.
There's another leak on the web about the performance of the unannounced GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (via VideoCardz). According to information found on a slide from Nvidia's presentation for the media, the GPU will be 40% faster than the GeForce RTX 2060 Super. This means we'll get a GPU several percent stronger than the RTX 2080 Super.
The slide doesn't show specific fps values, but compares the three chipsets, giving us a general idea of the performance of the new model. We also know that the tests were conducted in 1440p, on a PC equipped with an unclocked Intel Core i9-10900K processor.
The chart shows a number of popular games such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Gears 5, Doom Eternal, Red Dead Redemption 2, Watch Dogs: Legion, Control, Minecraft and Wolfenstein: Youngblood. We also have a performance summary in several graphic programs, more specifically Arnold, Blender Vray and Redshift.
According to info from early November (reportedly confirmed by Nvidia during the presentation), the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will debut on December 2 this year. All indications are that price in the US will not exceed 400 dollars.
