New Kao the Kangaroo Delayed

The developers have announced a change in the release date of the new Kao the Kangaroo. Unfortunately, we won't be able to play it this year.

While not the world's biggest bestseller, Kao the Kangaroo reached an iconic status in some countries. Last year, after almost 15 years since the release of the last, third, installment, Tate Multimedia (former X-Ray Interactive; the devs of the original game) announced a reboot - for the moment, heading exclusively to PC. Unfortunately, predictions of a release before this holiday season turned out to be overly optimistic. On the Steam card of the new Kao the Kangaroo we will find an information about the release being delayed to next year. As a consolation, the devs presented us with a new look of the character (on the teaser below).

"So we wanted to share something with you guys, but... SOMEONE decided to do that on HIS own - we all know our boi’s better with his fists than words."

The developers face a difficult task - to meet the expectations of long-time fans, as well as to encourage the new generation to get acquainted with the adventures of the charming marsupial. Fortunately, the recently released Psychonauts 2 showed that this goal can be achieved. Let's keep our fingers crossed for them - or in this case... boxing gloves.
