Horizon: Forbidden West Pre-orders Launched; PS5 Update Only on Some Editions

Fans of Horizon: Forbidden West can pre-order the game now. The title is available in five editions.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Pre-orders can now be placed for Horizon: Forbidden West;
  • The game is available in five editions.

A week ago, during gamescom, the release date of Horizon: Forbidden West was revealed. We didn't have to wait long for the game to be available for pre-order. The upcoming production of Guerrilla Games is available in five editions. Among them there are editions filled with digital bonuses as well as collector's sets for the biggest fans.

PlayStation blog published the following editions: Digital Deluxe, Special, Collector's and Regalla. The first one is a digital edition of the game enriched with many extras such as special outfits, artbook and official soundtrack. Special Edition is a physical copy of the game in a steelbook. Fans of gadgets that can be placed on the shelf should be interested in the Collector's Edition and Regalla Edition (visualization in the graphic below). Both editions contain an impressive figurine and many other gadgets.

Before buying it's also worth reading the information provided in the game's FAQ. It turns out that in the standard edition, the second part of Horizon will not receive a free upgrade from PS4 to PS5. To take advantage of this, we'll need to purchase the Digital Deluxe, Collector's or Regalla edition. However, the PlayStation 4 version will be playable on the next-gen console as part of backward compatibility.
