One of the leading figures at Bethesda Game Studios is leaving the company. As Jeff Gardiner announced yesterday, after nearly 16 years at the studio. it's time to part ways. Gardiner worked on many of the studios now iconic projects - he assisted in the work on Oblivion and Skyrim from The Elder Scrolls series, Fallout 3 and Fallout 4; he also led the development of Fallout 4 and Fallout 76..
In a farewell post on Twitter, Gardiner wrote:
The last project supervised by Jeff Gardiner was Fallout 76. The first online Fallout had a terrible launch, caused mainly by the disastrous technical condition, but over time the devs (and loyal fans) managed to bring the game to a decent state.
As for now, we don't know where Gardiner will find his "new home". The farewell ended with the words stay tuned, which may herald that soon we'll get to know the studio whose ranks will be filled by the experienced video game producer.
