Sony's New Exclusive From Jade Raymond to be a Live-service Game
According to an anonymous recruiter who provided information to the Italian website Multiplayer.it, Sony's new exclusive title from Jade Raymond is expected to be a live-service game.
In mid-March this year, we reported on a new studio in the Sony family, founded by industry veteran Jade Raymond. According to Italian website Multiplayer.it, the PlayStation 5 exclusive title from the aforementioned company, Haven Entertainment Studios, is to be a network live-service game - or at least that's what an anonymous recruiter told the team.
"I work for Montreal-based Haven Games, a Sony-funded studio led by Jade Raymond, to whom we owe such franchises as Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs. We are looking for a programmer to join the team to help develop an original, Sony-exclusive online title, live-service game," wrote the recruiter to the Italian website.
What's more, Raymond has welcomed into her flock several experienced staff who have previously worked on popular franchises, including former Assassin's Creed producer Sebastien Pule and lead writer Corey May, as well as Watch Dogs' art director Mathieu Leduc and Shadow of the Tomb Raider's director Daniel Drapeau. It's worth mentioning that the studio is still recruiting.
Developing a "live-service game" could be a bullseye, given the profitability of such titles - just take GTA Online as an example. Jade Raymond now needs to build a solid foundation for her still flourishing and mysterious game. She has no shortage of experience, so we just have to wait and see how the plans go.
