It's Perfect Time to Revisit Ghost Recon Breakpoint - Great FPP Mod and Sale on Steam
Four years after its release, one can finally recommend Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint without fear. The impressive mod provides a return to the roots of the series, the game has been heavily discounted on Steam, and its current technical condition leaves little to be desired.
On the day of its release Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint turned out to be a big disappointment. Today, however, it is worth returning to this game for at least three reasons. First, over the past few years Ubisoft has managed to fix the game's most serious problems, second, a very attractive sale is underway on Steam, and third - a mod has just debuted that significantly changes the gameplay experience.
First-person view in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Let's start with the mod, which is simply called First Person View. True to its title, it changes the gameplay perspective from TPP to first-person view. It works surprisingly well and plays like a thoroughbred tactical FPS. For the full effect, it is also worth installing First Person DoF Blur Removal, which removes aggressive blur effects that can get in the way in FPP view.

The use of the FPP view is a return to the brand's roots. After all, such a perspective was offered in 2001's first installment of the series. After that, the series focused mainly on consoles and this resulted in a shift to TPP. The first-person mode returned later still in both parts of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, but only on PC (the PC editions of these games were completely different productions than the console ones).

We don't know if the youtuber is right about the game's revival, but the renaissance should be helped by a promotion organized as part of the autums sale on Steam. All four editions of Breakpoint have been discounted there by 80%. The offer will end tomorrow at 8 a.m. PST.
New players like Breakpoint
Over the years that have passed since its release, Ubisoft has fixed most of the game's most serious problems. Therefore, now people who bought it in the autumn sale are discovering that it is now quite a good game. This can be seen in the reviews on Steam. Whencounting all of them, only 69% are positive, but among those issued in the last 30 days, 85% praise Breakpoint. The vast majority of them were published in the last few days.
The positive impact of the deal can also be seen in the activity results. Before the sale, daily records on Steam were around a thousand concurrent users. In contrast, yesterday at the hottest time on Sunday Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint was played by 4824 people simultaneously.
