Is There a PvP Mode in Ready or Not?
Ready or Not is a tactical shooter offering a realistic experience. Find out if the game will also feature a PvP mode.
Ready or Not is a tactical shooter that turned out to be a really big success. The title has clearly caught the fancy of fans of the iconic SWAT 4 and older installments of Rainbow Six. After all, it's been a long time since we've seen any shooter put so much emphasis on planning and strategy.
Some FPS fans, however, need something more than a PvE mode against the AI or co-op to be happy. So do these players have anything to look for in Void Interactive's game? Does it have a traditional PvP mode?
PvP in Ready or Not
Even before the release, the developers of Ready or Not announced that the game would offer a whole host of game modes. The title was to offer solo play with or against AI, play with friends in co-op and PvP gameplay.
We are talking about modes such as the popular Team Deathmatch, Arrest and Rescue and VIP Escort. All of them appeared in the alpha version of the game and players with access to it were able to experience them.
Unfortunately, the PvP experience offered by Ready or Not failed to meet the requirements of both the players themselves, as well as the developers. Traditional modes, such as the aforementioned Deathmatch, did not fit with the game's design and realistic nature. So over time they were removed from the game.
Currently when running the game, you can only play alone or in co-op. Both modes offer the realistic experience the developers wanted. So in the game you will always be up against AI.
Will PvP return to Ready or Not?
Keep in mind that Ready or Not is a title that is still in early access, and so the game is constantly being expanded by the developers.
In addition, both on the official website, as well as the product card on Steam still feature information about the game's multiplayer modes. So it's likely that the developers plan to bring back PvP gameplay in the future.
It is possible that they need to refine it to present a satisfying level and fit the style of the game. So we have to wait patiently for further information on the subject from the developers.
Perhaps in future updates or in the full version of Ready or Not we will get access to PvP gameplay. However, we cannot predict when exactly this will happen.
